This week we are featuring the "OpenCO2 Mini," an ultra-compact, user-developed indoor air quality monitor that prioritizes portability and open-source design. This project integrates the Sensirion STCC4 CO2 Sensor and the SHT40 for accurate temperature and humidity measurements. Built on the ESP32-S3 microcontroller and Arduino IDE compatible, the OpenCO2 Mini is designed for seamless connectivity, supporting Wi-Fi integration with systems like Home Assistant and Bluetooth monitoring via the Sensirion MyAmbience app. Its focus on low power and minimal footprint makes it ideal for R&D use in travel, classroom, or office monitoring applications.
