In the Spotlight: Seeed
Seeed has been serving the global developer community since 2008, providing open technology and agile manufacturing services with the aim of making hardware more accessible and lowering the threshold for hardware innovation. Drawing on Shenzhen’s vast resources and relying on its trusted technology and distribution partners around the world, Seeed is striving to be the most integrated platform for creating hardware solutions for the IoT and edge AI applications.
Sensirion and Seeed
Sensirion and Seeed established a partnership that strives to improve the accessibility of prototyping using Sensirion’s sensors for developers and that helps to successfully perform initial tests with our products. In recent years, the companies have strengthened their partnership by launching a growing portfolio of collaborative products.
Seeed CEO and founder Eric Pan on Sensirion and the collaboration between Seeed and Sensirion: “As the IoT is continuing to grow, sensor technologies are playing a critical role in emerging scenarios. There’s no doubt about it: Sensirion is the top innovator, bringing disruptive technology and stable, high-quality products to the sensor field. Seeed has proudly worked with Sensirion to launch a variety of products for a global community of developers and has also deployed them into real-world sensing applications. We are looking forward to further collaboration with Sensirion in the future to bring about a pervasive digital transformation of industries.”
Sensirion’s high-quality environmental and flow sensors are used in a wide range of markets and various applications. We offer customized evaluation kits for initial testing of our sensors’ performance. While we provide the evaluation tools, our collaborative relationship with Seeed enables us to offer developers and our customers hardware modules that give them the ability to put their project ideas into action. Hardware innovators can prototype, integrate and create designs using Seeed’s product portfolio. Aside from the numerous hardware platforms included in Seeed’s product range, they offer customization and manufacturing services that allow developers to benefit from quicker and easier project implementation processes.
The Grove SCD41 CO2, Temperature and Humidity Sensor is a small but powerful module made by Seeed and Sensirion. The sensor can measure temperature, humidity and CO2 simultaneously. Compared to traditional carbon dioxide sensors, the SCD41 is exceptionally small, so it can be integrated into various new smart devices.
The Grove SGP30 VOC and CO2eq gas sensor is an (Arduino-compatible) air quality sensor. Based on the SGP30, this module provides TVOC (total volatile organic compounds) and CO2eq output with outstanding long-term stability and low power consumption, making it a perfect choice for indoor air quality detection.
The Grove I2C high-accuracy temperature and humidity sensor (SHT35) is based on SHT3x-DIS, which is the third generation of Sensirion’s temperature and humidity sensors. It builds on a CMOSens® sensor chip that is the very heart of Sensirion’s humidity and temperature platform. The SHT35 series of humidity sensors combines multiple functions and maximum precision with a wide operating voltage range (2.15 to 5.5 V).
